Abstract:
PURPOSE:To extremely suppress the temperature rise of a saturable reactor and to attain high reliability and efficiency, by using an amorphous metallic magnetic material where the thickness of a raw material is within the specific range as a magnetic core for the saturable reactor. CONSTITUTION:As a magnetic core for a saturable reactor, an amorphous metalic magnetic material the thickness of which is within a range of 60mu-4mu is used. When the thickness is thicker, the characteristics of the amorphous metallic magnetic material are deteriorated and also the eddy current loss is increased. Further, when the thickness is thicker, the production of uniform thickness can be difficult. From those results, the range of thickness of the amorphous metalic magnetic material for the saturable reactor is 4mu-60mu.
