PURPOSE: To increase the operating characteristics, by commonly using a part of magnetic bubble transfer elements for transfer use and transfer path switching use.
CONSTITUTION: On the bubble magnetic domain medium, the transfer elements 20W27 of sepcified pattern made of soft quality ferromagnetic thin film such as permalloy are formed, and the conductor line 28 supplying the current for transfer path switching is provided with the bubble magnetic domain medium at the intermediate of the elements 20W27. As far as current does not flow to this conductor 28, bubbles are transferred in the major loop formed with the major transfer path ML and the elements 20..., 21..., and in the minor loop consisting of the minor transfer path mL... and elements 27..., 26..., 24..., 25..., and 27..., in response to the rotating magnetic field. Further, when required current flows to the conductor 28, absorbing magnetic poles and erasing magnetic poles are generated in reponse to the elements 20W27, allowing the elements 20W27 to form the transfer path between the major and minor loops. Accordingly, a part of the transfer elements is commonly used for transfer path switching, to simplify the constitution and to increase the operating characteristics.
