Title:
SWITCHING VALVE FOR WATER PURIFIER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3494801
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the water sealability, reliability and operability of the switching valve for a water purifier by switching a water current to the three raw water, shower and purified water modes with a linearly sliding O ring and separately fabricating the parts to form the sliding part of the O ring into a smooth surface having curvature.
SOLUTION: When a switching lever 8 is at the position of a raw water mode, city water is discharged from a raw water outlet 13 through a valve guide 12. Subsequently, when the lever 8 is turned to the shower mode, a cylinder 7 is moved in the axial direction by the screwing action of the shaft 9 and cylinder 7, and the city water is allowed by an O ring 14 to flow in from a communicating port 15 partitioned by a connecting ring 10 and a water-sealed part 11 and discharged from a shower outlet 16 through the valve guide 12. Further, when the lever 8 is turned to the purified water mode, the cylinder 7 is further moved in the axial direction, the O ring 14 is inserted into the valve guide, and the city water is sent to a purified water outlet through a purified water opening 17 and discharged through a water purifier.
