Abstract:
PURPOSE: To couple printed circuit boards with each other in a high density by a method, wherein a midplane printed circuit board is interconnected with the printed circuit boards using a multiple both-side connector structure. CONSTITUTION: A midplane printed circuit board 24 is provided for coupling a plurality of first printed circuit boards with a plurality of second printed circuit boards. A plurality of first connectors are provided on the surfaces of the first printed circuit broads, a plurality of rows of coupling pins are provided on the first surfaces of the first connects and a plurality of rows of coupling pins are provided on the second surfaces, which are opposite the first surfaces, of the first connectors. A plurality of second connectors and a plurality of rows of coupling pins are provided on the second surface of the board 24. Common double-end coupling pins are used for the first and second connectors and single-end pins, which are coupled with each other through a conductive trace on the board 24, are used for the residual coupling pins.
