To provide a swivel bearing device capable of prolonging its service life by a simple configuration.
This swivel bearing device provided between a lower part running body and an upper part swivel body in construction machinery is provided with an inner ring 36 attached to the lower part running body and having a peripheral channel 58 on an outer peripheral face 44, an outer ring 38 attached to an upper part running body and having a peripheral channel 60 on an inner peripheral face 52 surrounding the inner ring 36, an annular cavity formed by the peripheral channels 58, 60 of the inner ring 36 and the outer ring 38, and rolling bodies 34 stored at an interval in the peripheral direction in the cavity to allow a predetermined gap between the peripheral channels 58 and 60. A mounting face 50 of the outer ring 38 for the upper part swivel body is formed into a tapered face having predetermined grade. When the outer ring 38 is attached while the mounting face 50 adheres closely to the upper part swivel body, the outer ring 38 receives twist deformation to eliminate the gap and hold the rolling body 34 between the inner ring 36 and it so as to roll freely.
