PURPOSE: To secure a stable friction factor by constituting a synchronizer ring's inner circumferential surface, serving as a sliding surface, from a metal thermal spraying layer, where resin is embedded in a pore, and the resin layer formed on a surface of the thermal spraying layer.
CONSTITUTION: In this synchronizer ring 1, its inner circumferential part forming a sliding surface consists of a wear resisting metal thermal spraying layer 4, where resin is embedded in a pore 41, and the resin layer formed on a surface of this metal thermal spraying layer 4. There are a lot of fine pores 41 in the formed thermal spraying layer 4. And, after resin excellent in sliding characteristic is subjected to spray coating in each part of these pores 41 and impregnated by means of heat treatment, a coating layer is formed. Thus, the synchronizer ring that is stable in abrasion resistance and a friction factor is securable.
