Title:
SYNCHRONIZING CABLE FOR TOROIDAL CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3791172
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronizing cable for a toroidal continuously variable transmission that is capable of preventing its wire rope suffering large tensile force from being pulled out of a tube.
SOLUTION: A synchronizing cable 31, which is for use in a toroidal continuously variable transmission that includes a trunnion for holding rotatable a power roller interposed between an input disk and an output disk for inclined rolling motion, comprises a wire rope 32 and arc tubes 33 fitted on the wire rope 32 for mounting to the trunnion. The tubes 33 are each crimped except both their ends.
