Title:
SYNCHRONIZING SYSTEM FOR SS-TDMA SATELLITE COMMUNICATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6018028
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attain the use of a common frequency and a repeater for plural services by using a reference burst to obtain synchronization between the timing standard of a reference station and the timing standard of a satellite and using this synchronization to decide the transmission timing of the reference burst.

CONSTITUTION: The synchronizing windows of the same number as plural services are provided within a TDMA frame to those services using burst signals having different modulation systems or signal speeds. Then the reference brust consisting of burst signals of types correspodning to the synchronizing windows is transmitted to these windows from a reference station 10 which is common to all services. This reference burst is used to obtain synchronization between the timing standard of a reference station 10 and that of a satellite 1. Based on this synchronization of timing standard, the transmission timing of the reference burst is decided by a time counter circuit.
