Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To presume magnetic pole position and an AC current highly accurately over a wide speed range from low to high speed.
SOLUTION: This device comprises a first means that obtains a presumed current value of the q-axis based on a detected value or set value of the DC voltage of an inverter, a filtered DC current, and power equation of the inverter; and a second means that obtains a presumed value of an AC current flowing in a synchronous electric motor by sampling a DC current based on a switching mode of the inverter, and based on this presumed AC current value, to obtain a presumed current value of the q-axis. The first and the second means are changed over in accordance with the speed of the synchronous motor. The magnetic pole position is controlled using the presumed current value of the q-axis outputted from the changed-over means.
