Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous motor driving device capable of controlling leading phase at the time of forward and reverse drives based on the output signal of a same position detecting means.
SOLUTION: Hall ICs 23u-23w made up of Hall elements which detect the magnetic field of a magnetic pole 8 provided on a rotor are arranged on the magnetic pole teeth of a stator core. Each of the Hall ICs 23u-23w is arranged at the position of 30 degrees electrical angle (7.5 degrees mechanical angle) in one rotating direction from the center position of each of the magnetic pole teeth 1, 6, 2 of U-phase, V-phase and W-phase respectively. The driving device controls the supply timing of exciting current to the winding of each phase at 30 degrees leading phase angle by a first logic at the time of the forward drive and by a second logic at the time of the reverse drive based on the position detection signals from each Hall ICs 23u-23w. Also, the driving device is capable of adjusting the leading phase angle to that within 30 degrees by delaying the position detection signals by a delay circuit.
