Abstract:

To provide a catalyst with which an oxygenated compound can be synthesized with high selectivity by a catalytic reaction using a synthetic gas as a raw material, and to provide a synthesis method of an oxygenated compound using the catalyst, and a synthesizing device including the catalyst.

(1) The method for synthesizing an oxygenated compound comprises bringing a mixture gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide into contact with a catalyst, and the catalyst contains rhodium, boron and alkali metal. (2) In the catalyst, the number of moles of boron is equal to or larger than the number of moles of rhodium. (3) A reactor 10 is used, including a reaction tube 1 with the catalyst 2 disposed inside, wherein the reaction tube 1 is provided with a gas inlet 3 and a gas outlet 4.
