Abstract:
PURPOSE:To deposit iron hexacyanoferrate as a uniform continuous thin film on a cathode by immersing a pair of electrodes with electronic conductivity at the surfaces in a mixed soln. consisting of an aqueous soln. contg. ferric ion and an aqueous soln. contg. hexacyanoferrate ion and by carrying out electrolysis. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous soln. of a salt contg. ferric in such as ferric chloride is mixed with an aqueous soln. of a salt contg. ferricyanide ion such as potassium ferricyanide to prepare a brown transparent soln. A pair of solid electrodes with electronic conductivity at the surfaces are immersed in the transparent soln. By a constant-current electrolytic method using one of the electrodes as a cathode and the other as an anode, a uniform continuous thin film of iron hexacyanoferrate is deposited on the surface of the cathode. At this time, the electrolysis is carried out preferably at 1muA/cm<2>-1mA/cm<2> current density of the cathode.
