Title:
SYNTHETIC APERTURE RADAR EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6064281
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attain to enhance the general-purpose characteristic of a synthetic aperture radar equipment mounted to a flight such as an artifical satellite by flexibly controlling image quality and a data amount to effectively use small memory capacity, by changing the program of a built-in computer by command from the ground.

CONSTITUTION: A program of an image information range stored in the computer mounted to an artifical satellite and the number of quantized stages of the receiving analogue signal thereof is altered by the command from a ground receiving station during a time when the artificial satellite is looked from said receiving station. By this alteration, a data amount and image quality through a data recording and regenerating apparatus 10 for processing observation data when said satellite goes out of sight from the ground station are rationally and flexibly controlled. As a result, small memory capacity is effectively used and the general-purpose characteristic of an aperture radar equipment mounted to a flight such as a satellite is enhanced.
