To provide a rope member provided by surely fixing a clamping member on a synthetic fiber rope to validate high tensile force of the synthetic fiber rope, and to provide a production method therefor.

There is provided a method for producing a rope member comprising a rope 1 of a bundle of synthetic fibers and a clamping member 2 which forms a portion connecting or fixing the rope 1 to an external member and is fixed on the rope 1, wherein a filler 4 having permeability and provided by dispersing inorganic material particles in a liquid is permeated into a part of the rope 1, and the clamping member 2 is fixed to the rope 1 by installing the clamping member 2 to cover the part of the rope permeated with the filler 4, and tightening the clamping member 2. The clamping member 2 is prevented from slippage even when a high load is applied to the synthetic fiber rope having high tensile force.
