Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a finishing agent capable of suppressing scorched pill occurrence during the high-speed spinning, esp. high-speed fine spinning process for acrylic fibers by including a specific polyether compound a specific softener in specified proportions. SOLUTION: This synthetic fiber finishing agent is obtained by including a polyether compound of the formula R1-X1-O-Y1 or formula I (R1 and R2 are each a 28-60C alkyl or alkanoyl; X1 and X2 are each a polyoxyalkylene constituted of a total of 6-60 2-3C oxyalkylene recurring units; Y1 is H, a 1-22C alkyl or the like; Y2 is such a residue as to be formed by eliminating carboxyl groups from a 2-10C bivalent to tetravalent aliphatic carboxylic acid; and (a) is 2-4) and a softener of formula II or formula III (R3, R4, R6, R7, R8 and R9 are each a 8-22C aliphatic amido or the like; A1 and A2 are each a polyalkoxy constituted of a total of 3-60 2-4C alkoxy recurring units; R5 is H or a tri-1-3C alkylsilyl; (p), (q) and (r) are each 1-4; (m), (n), (s), (t), (u) and (v) are each 2 or 3; and B is a bivalent organic group) in the weight ratio of (20:80) to (50:50).
