To provide a method for producing a material, including an ordinary clothing material, a sanitary clothing material, and a household material, having extremely high safety, without having toxicity to a human body, having antibacterial deodorant properties of high durability, and having excellent feeling, water absorption properties, and color fastness.
This material is produced by permeating a cellulosic cloth with an acidic chitosan solution, treating the cloth with a basic solution, allowing the chitosan to adhere to the cloth by coagulating and regenerating the chitosan, and fixing the chitosan to the cloth by a process of crosslinking treatment with a polyfunctional epoxy compound. A polyester having resilience is, on the other hand, mixed with a fiber containing carbon and the chitosan, and then subjected to mix spinning or mix weaving, so that the new material of the ordinary clothing material is produced. Further, the polyester having the resilience is covered with a flame-retardant layer made of a polyvinyl chloride resin and formed into a union cloth, so as to obtain a mesh sheet, and then the top surface of the sheet is painted and the back surface is colored to be black. The mesh sheet thus painted and colored prevents a sensible temperature from rising by 8°C or more and freely makes a room brighter or darker by controlling a size of mesh opening.
