Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R1 is 4-methoxyphenyl).

EXAMPLE: A compound expressed by formula II.

USE: An intermediate for synthesizing glycosylphosphatidylisositol anchor useful as a physiologically active substance.

PREPARATION: A carbohydrate expressed by formula III (Ac is acetyl; Bn is benzyl) is used as a starting substance and ethylene dichloride is initially employed as a reaction solvent. Trimethylsilyl triflyoromethanesulfonate is then added and reacted to pass through a compound expressed by the formula IV (MP is methoxyphenyl). A 10% Pd/C reaction reagent is subsequently added to the resultant compound expressed by formula V and reacted therewith.
