To obtain a synthetic lubricant oil composition capable of satisfying physical properties and performances required for a lubricant and having a high oxidative stability by blending a specified amount of a specific organic amino antioxidant with a specified alkylnaphthalene as a base oil.
This synthetic lubricant oil composition is obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. base oil comprising an alkylnaphthalene compound having a structure of naphthalene ring substituted by one to three 1-24C alkyl groups, with (B) 0.01-3 pts.wt., preferably 0.1-1 pt.wt. organic amine compound of the formula (R1 is a 1-20C alkyl or cycloalkyl). For example, the component A is obtained by alkylating naphthalene, a mono(1-24C alkyl)naphthalene, etc., with a straight chain α-olefin, and further fractionally distilling and recovering the objective compound therefrom. The component A is preferably a decylnaphthalene, a methyldecylnaphthalene, etc. The component B can be obtained, for example by reacting a primary alkyl amine with 1-naphthol.
