Abstract:

To provide synthetic wood having improved antistaining properties and emitting an odor for repelling a hatefull harmful insect such as a cockroach and the like or perfume pleasant for a man using the wood.

The synthetic wood is provided with a resin component 6, a filler 1, an additive 2 of a substance whose surface free energy is less than a surface free energy of the resin component 6, a substance 3 evapotranspirating an odor, an inorganic antibacterial agent 4 and an organic antibacterial agent 5. Thereby, the antistaining properties of the synthetic wood is improved and hygenic and comfortable synthetic wood having a noxious insect avoiding performance is obtained.
