Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten a length by inserting a groove forming member, a stopper and a plunger rod in that order from the end to the tip in an outer barrel of a syringe whereby sealing engagement and opening of the outer barrel of the syringe are performed by the energizing direction of the plunger rod.
CONSTITUTION: This syringe assembly 10 comprises a cylindrical outer barrel of syringe 12 and a plunger assembly 30. The outer barrel of syringe 12 comprises a based end 13, an end 16 and a chamber 20, and a passage 24 is formed on the end 16 to furnish a tip cap 28 and to enable to install and remove a needle cannula 62. The plunger assembly 30 comprises a plunger rod 56, a stopper 34 and a passage forming, member 32 to be contained in the chamber 20. The passage forming member 32, during freeze drying, receives outflowing steam and forms a longitudinal passage 40 wherein a medicine and a diluent are mixed. When the plunger rod 30 is pushed toward a direction of the end 58, the stopper 34 and the groove forming member 32 sealingly engage with the outer tube 12. On the contrary, when energized, the stopper 34 alienates from the groove forming member 32.
