Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plunger for syringes which is convenient for users whose hands are relatively small.
SOLUTION: A plunger 12 has a rigid guide bar that extends axially from end to end. To detachably mount on a slidable piston 26, the plunger also has a threaded portion or mounting means at the proximal end of the guide bar. The guide bar member has a surface 46 at the distal end to apply a force in the axial direction to the guide bar and move the slidable piston within the tube. A surface 48 is also provided in the middle of the guide bar in the axial direction.
