To make a syringe pump compact and light weight, and to provide the syringe pump which can inject a minute amount of reagent along an inner wall of a reaction vessel from a needle, and is best suited for being used in an organic synthesis experiment.

The syringe pump comprises a cylinder body holding member 15 for holding a cylinder body 11a; a guide member 16 configured to extend from the cylinder body holding member; a member 17 which is disposed at the guide member, for controlling a cylinder body mounting position; a holding member 18 which is disposed movably along the guide member, for holding a plunger picking section; a male screw member 20, which is screwed in a threaded member 20, disposed so as to be parallel to the guide member at the holding member for holding the plunger picking section; a motor 21 for rotating the male screw member; a limiting switch 22 which is disposed at the member for controlling the cylinder body mounting position and detects the motion limit on the upper dead center side of the holding member for holding the plunger picking section; and an operation unit 14 which is connected to the motor, the limiting switch and an encoder 23 via signal cables 13.
