To provide clothing and a tool used together with one or more electronic modules.

A system includes a module 102 for detecting physical and/or physiological properties. Physical interaction between the module 102 clothing 100 is used to activate and/or stop the module and/or a detection device, to confirm whether or not mutual use between the module and the clothing or an athletic tool is approved, and/or for an automatic data algorithm selection method. The system and method can also be used an activation and/or authentication system to perform data input to the module, and can utilize a magnet and a magnetic detection system and/or a light (or other radiation) source and a detection system to perform the activation, authentication, data input and/or algorithm selection.
