Title:
SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING ORTHOGONAL MODULATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06303265
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To execute the compensation of I channel and Q channel data so as to make their amplitude equal and also to stably keep the phase difference of first carrier wave with second carrier wave at 90° by a simple means.

CONSTITUTION: An amplitude detecting equipment 91 detects an absolute value A1 in the amplitude of an output signal A1 from a modulator 3A for an I channel, the absolute value A2 in the amplitude of the output signal A2 from the second modulator for a Q channel and the absolute value A3 in the amplitude of the output signal A3 from an adder 7. Based on detected signals from the amplitude detecting equipment 91, a control equipment 93 controls an I channel output correcting equipment 2A and a Q channel output correcting equipment 2B so as to permit A1 to coincide with A2, controls a phase shift equipment 4 so as to permit A3 to coincide with its theoretical value =(A12+A22)1/2, permits the value of A1 to coincide with the value of A2 and also controls the phase difference of A1 and A2 so as to make it 90°.
