Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for controlling power transmission to DC components, such as a computer components and a microprocessor.SOLUTION: Voltage from a power source 119 is converted into constant current by an inductor 120, it is switched by a switch 122 when the switch is ON, it can be flown into a circuit network 148 including components arranged in parallel with the switch when the switch is OFF, and it acts as the circuit network acting after the switch is shifted. The voltage through the switch is approximately 0 when the switch is ON, and the voltage depends on a response of the circuit network when the switch is OFF. A response waveform is transformed by the circuit network to form voltage over a load 128. When conductivity of the load is extremely low, there is almost no current to flow into an inductance, which does not remarkably influence the waveform over the switch.
