PURPOSE: To provide a system for controlling the split shear cut length, wherein the length of a material actually cut on a cooling bed is measured, the compensation control for the cutting of the subsequent material and downward is carried out by the difference between this measured value and the cut length set value there thereby to improve the accuracy of the cut length.
