Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional media data form, by which an application decoder could not detect accurate position of a transmission error because the form of the media data given to the application decoder becomes a form of omitting the payload of a packet causing a packet loss on the occurrence of the packet loss during radio communication transmission of the digital media data.
SOLUTION: A system decoder embeds a data stream, not include in the specification/standard of the application decoder by which the application decoder can explicitly discriminate at the occurrence of a communication error, to a packet loss part of received data so that the application decoder can detects an accurate position of the transmission error. Furthermore, the system decoder and the application decoder decide the data stream to be embedded, in advance, so that the application decoder can detect the error location more accurately.
