PURPOSE: To provide a means realizing the effect of requiring no manual aid, monitoring and arresting violating vehicles at all times, remaining the evidence of violation, requiring no guidance of violating vehicle, and unnecessitating the violating vehicle to stop.
CONSTITUTION: The system consists of an AVI passing detecting device 1 and an AVI passing trap 2 connected to the device 1. The AVI passing detecting device 1 consists of an AVI device 3 installed at the side of an opposite lane and a warning display device 4 installed to the downstream side with respect to the regular advancing direction rather than the AVI device 3. When a vehicle C2 enters an opposite lane B, the AVI device 3 recognizes the number plate of the vehicle C2 to display warning on the device 4. When the vehicle ignores the warning and continues the violating travel, the passing trap 2 collates the number plate and the violating vehicle C2 is arrested.
