To conveniently transfer data at a high speed and also to surely transfer the data by connecting between a transmitting device which transmits information data and a receiving device which receives the information data by using a connection ID, which shows logical connection, and performing communication.
1st to 3rd 1394 interfaces 13, 44 and 62 operate as a control node, the source of image data and a node destination node. The control node sets an independent ID that is uniquely decided in a network, makes logical connection between the source and the node destination node and applies connection IDs respectively. After that, in handshake communication between the source and the node destination node, a connection ID number that is set by the controller is communicated by using a broadcast asynchronous transaction including a field in payload.
