Abstract:
To provide: a damage recovery system of a structural region of an aircraft, the system increasing the resilience of the aircraft during flight in the event of structural problems due to cracks or holes; and an aircraft that incorporates this system.SOLUTION: A damage recovery system of a fuselage (1) of an aircraft (3) comprises: a tank (8) containing a polyurethane foam; a main duct (10a) fluidically coupled to the tank to receive the foam; secondary ducts (10b) fluidically coupled to the main duct; and distribution means (12) adapted to allow an outflow of the foam from the secondary ducts. Graphene powder can be mixed and added to the polyurethane foam. In flight, a possible leak (crack or hole) in the fuselage is plugged by the polyurethane foam with the graphene powder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
