The system for evaluating vibration characteristic is provided with a mounting table (2) on which the sample (S) is mounted; an excitation means (e.g., vibration generator 31) for exciting the mounting table, with respect to a prescribed direction; a detection means (e.g., sensor 2a) for detecting the vibration of the sample excited by the excitation means; a vibration control means (e.g., vibration control part 11) for controlling the vibration of the excitation means, on the basis of the input of a vibration detection signal outputted from the detection means; a strobe means (e.g., stroboscope 4) for emitting a strobe light to the sample; and a light emission control means (e.g., light emission control part 12) for controlling the light emission frequency of the strobe means, to emit the strobe light, in synchronization with the vibration frequency of the sample, on the basis of the input of the vibration detected signal outputted from the detection means.
