Title:
SYSTEM FOR LUBRICATING OIL FOR DISK STORAGE DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06223533
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a head/suspension/wick synthetic system for supplying lubricating oil between a head and a disk face at the stoppage and operation.

CONSTITUTION: This system is provided with a lubricant supplying function including a bearing part having one end holding a magnetic converter 24 for a magnetic disk 22. Then, wick grooves 15a-15n are provided in a head/ suspension/wick synthetic arm 12. The grooves are shaped like capillary tubes for absorbing the lubricating oil from a wick to the arm, and allowing it to run along the suspension. Thus, the disk under the head can be prevented from being dried, regardless of the preserving period or state. When the disk is rotated, the wick continues to supply the lubricant to the disk surface.
