Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position adjustment system for an optical modulating device which can cope with a decrease in lighting margin accompanying a decrease in the size of a projector.
SOLUTION: This position adjustment system which makes relative adjustments of the optical modulating devices constituting the projector is equipped with the an adjusting device main body where optical modulating devices, and an adjustment object including a housing for optical components are installed and which adjusts the positions of the optical modulating devices, a transmission type screen 53 where the projection image enlarged and projected by the adjustment object is formed, an image detecting device 55 which is installed on the back side of the transmission type screen 53 and detects the image projected on the transmission type screen 53, and an optical axis detecting device 58 which detects a lighting optical axis in the housing for the optical components; and the optical modulating devices are adjusted by the adjusting device main body according to the lighting optical axis detected by the optical axis detecting device 58.
