To provide a system and method for automatic measurement of indexes of circulation status in a patient submitted to artificial respiration, starting from analysis of variations in the values of blood pressure.
The system for automatic measurement of indexes of circulation status of the patient comprises a means 7 suitable for submitting the patient to a preset period of apnoea and to a preset period of mechanical breathing, blood pressure probes 2, a means 5 for measuring the values of positive systolic peaks of the blood pressure, a means 5 for measuring a first average value of the values of positive systolic peaks of the blood pressure in the preset period of apnoea, a means 5 for measuring a second average value of the maximum values of the positive systolic peaks of the blood pressure in the preset period of mechanical breathing, a means 5 for measuring a third average value of the minimum values of the positive systolic peaks of the blood pressure in the preset period of mechanical breathing, a means 5 for measuring a first index of circulation status equal to the difference between the second and first values, a means 5 for measuring a second index of circulation status equal to the difference between the third and first values, and a display 6 of the indexes of circulation status.
