A method for letting working fluid flow in a working machine is disclosed. The method comprises a step to generate a control signal from an input mechanism, and a step to generate a characteristic signal to indicate a viscosity of the working fluid. The control signal and the characteristic signal are received by a control module. The method also comprises a step to determine a desired flow rate for the control signal and a step to determine a valve control signal required for achieving a desired flow rate for the control signal. The valve control signal depends on the characteristic signal. The valve control signal is output to a proportional valve to supply a desired flow rate for a command signal via the valve.
