Title:
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CORRECTING QUANTITY OF LASER LIGHT IN ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3791600
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for correcting the quantity of laser light in an electrophotographic apparatus having a stabilized print quality in which variation of print density can be suppressed in units of print quantity.
SOLUTION: The system for correcting the quantity of laser light in an electrophotographic apparatus comprises a laser light source (4) emitting laser light for performing optical recording on a plane to be exposed, a sensor (27) for detecting the quantity of laser light disposed to advance/retract with respect to the optical path of laser light, and means (22a) for controlling the quantity of laser light from the laser light source based on the output from the sensor for detecting the quantity of laser light. The quantity of laser light is corrected by inserting the sensor (27) onto the optical path during an interval when the accumulated emission time of laser light has elapsed a preset time and printing is stopped.
