Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method, for data acquisition, wherein a time generation device which generates the present time synchronized precisely with the absolute time by using a GPS receiver is provided, an interval period for one second is guaranteed even at a point of time when an interval correction is reset, sensor data is synchronized with the absolute time by the time generation device whose interval accuracy for one second is satisfactory, the sensor data is measured with high accuracy and the measurement accuracy of a geophysical exploration is increased.
SOLUTION: Data recorders are arranged so as to be spatially dispersed. Each data recorder is provided with a GPS time generation device, its absolute time accuracy is synchronized within a period of 10 μsec at the point of time when the counter is reset, and the time is corrected in such a way that the present time is set within a prescribed accuracy range even at the point of time when the counter is reset. Each data recorder acquires and records a sensor signal according to a recording parameter together with information on the GPS absolute time. The sensor signal from each data recorder and the absolute time are transferred to the outside, and the sensor signal is integrally processed.
