This system for determining the degree of abnormality of the life behavior pattern of the observed person comprises a presence detecting sensor for detecting a space where the observed person exists, an action detecting sensor for detecting the action of the observed person, an estimating means for estimating the life behavior of the observed person from the detected space and action, and determining means for comparing statistical parameters of the life behavior pattern of estimated life behavior with a life behavior pattern database to determine the degree of abnormality of the life behavior pattern.
