Abstract:
To provide systems and methods for the remote dispensing of packaged and non-packaged medical products using networked communications systems.
The present invention relates to a method for the remote dispensing of pharmaceuticals or other medical products using a network 320 of the Internet, and to a system that combines computer hardware and software, including a computer network, a telecommunications capability, and a medical products dispensing cabinet to form a complete drug dispensing system. The drug dispensing system 310 provides automated and low-cost drug delivery for the patient directly to the patient at a clinic, practitioner, or other location outside a pharmacy or a hospital.
