Abstract:
To provide a method for improving emission performance of a gas turbine.
The method includes a step of recirculating part of an exhaust gas stream 118 to a compressor 104 of the gas turbine 102 via an exhaust gas recirculating system to reduce concentration of oxygen in a high pressure feed oxidant stream 108 into a combustor 110 of the gas turbine 102. The method further includes a step of adding a diluent 134 to either a fuel stream 112 directed to the combustor 110 or a low pressure feed oxidant stream directed to the compressor 104 to reduce concentration of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) in the exhaust gas stream 118 and increase concentration of carbon dioxide in a resultant exhaust gas stream.
