When any deposited article which is deliverable to a customer is not collected in a fixed period or more after the merchandise is shipped to a store, an encouragement message is transmitted through a telephone, facsimile, or electronic mail or the encouragement message is printed on a matter to be mailed on the basis of the data of the article which is left for a fixed period or more and the customer's data. A message prepared by the store can be separately added to the encouragement message. Then, the list of deposited articles which are not collected even after the designated number of times of reminders is printed.
