To provide a measurement system capable of measuring rock permeability relatively rapidly and precisely, performing measurement in an undisturbance in a cavity under the ground of bedrock, measuring the permeability at the original site of the bedrock not only in a compressed stress state but also in a tensile stress state, and a measurement method.
The measurement system comprises: a central cavity section formed at the original site by scooping out the bedrock; a cylindrical body formed so that the periphery of the central cavity section can be surrounded cylindrically by the original site rock in a prescribed thickness; an outer-periphery cavity section formed at the original site by scooping out the periphery of the cylindrical body in a prescribed thickness; a sealing member provided so that each sealing space is formed at the central cavity section and the outer-periphery cavity section; a gas supply means for supplying gas to each sealed space with each desired pressure; and a pressure measurement means for measuring pressure inside each sealed space. Gas is supplied to each sealed space with each different, desired pressure, and the change in pressure with time is measured until the pressures in both the sealed spaces coincide with each other.
