To provide a system for properly and favorably monitoring a nucleic acid hybridization.
This system 1 for monitoring a nucleic acid hybridization comprises a member for setting a gel, a means 8 for adjusting the position of the gel, a means 2 for projecting beams on the gel, a means 3 for collecting the beams from the gel, a means 4 for separating the beams from the gel, a 1st sensing means 5 for sensing the beams thus separated by the means 4, a 2nd sensing means 6 for sensing the mating beams separated by the means 4, and a control means 9 for controlling the respective means and processing the information from the respective means. This system 1 can sense on a real- time basis simultaneously at two wavelengths the fluorescence emitted from the DNA in the gel.
