To provide a multi-address communication system and a multi-address communication method in which a mail server device transmits an e-mail to destinations of a public network through information communication equipment connected to the public network in response to a multi-address transmission request from other terminals of a network.

When a network facsimile machine FXa or a computer PC connected to the network NW transmits an e-mail attached with a file together with a request for multi-address transmission to the mail server device SM, the mail server device SM develops a plurality of multi-address addresses that are set in advance and distributes the e-mail to a plurality of the network facsimile machines FX1 to FXn connected to the public network PW, and the network facsimile machines FX1 to FXn transmit the e-mail to distribution addresses of the public network PW. Thus, the plurality of network facsimile machines FX1 to FXn are used to be able to almost simultaneously perform multi-address transmission.
