Abstract:
To provide a system and a method for optical heterodyne detection of an optical signal.
This system for optical heterodyne detection includes an optical combining means for combining an optical signal obtained by combining a first signal and a second signal having reduced noises, and outputting multiple beams including respectively a part of the combined optical signal, in which either of the first and second signals is a sweep local oscillation signal, and a plurality of photo detectors optically arranged respectively so as to receive different beams from among the beams, for generating electric signals in response to each beam.
