To provide a method which is newly improved for treating tissues in a body space with a surgical device.

A method and a system for treating tissues with the surgical device includes a step for displaying an image made by collecting imaging data from an imaging device, a step for selecting at least one tissue target from the image, a step for determining an effective treatment volume of the surgical device, a step for determining a treatment modality for treating the tissue target with the surgical device, in which the treatment modality is consisted of at least one target treatment volume. The method may also include a step for determining the positions and orientations of the imaging device, images, and the surgical device, a step for indicating the trajectory of the surgical device to the image on a display screen, a step for inserting the surgical device in a body of a patient based on the trajectory, and a step for treating the tissue target. The method may additionally include a step for indicating the treatment volume of the target on the display screen.
