To provide a system and method for player management using an RFID system which enable order of arrival, a running time, etc. to be easily and surely be managed without putting a burden on a player, a sponsor and a referee.

The referee raises the antenna 3 to be exposed to the number cloth 7 of the player having reached a goal for reading player specifying identification such as the number of the number cloth from a tag 2, and transmits the read information to a management device by radio. The management device 6 relates information of the tag 2 to the received time information, stores them and determines the order of arrival. Thus, the burden on the player, the sponsor and the referee is reduced and the order of arrival, the running time, etc. can easily and surely be managed.
