To provide a positioning system which is automatic and is for hospitals that concurrently has the purpose of attaining tracking, positioning as well as, of illumination.
The positioning system for hospitals (10) includes an illumination system (16a) designed for illumination of a hospital (12) and a controller (14) connected with an illumination system (16a) to operate. The controller (14) is designed so as to modulate illumination from the illumination system (16a) in a predefined mode. This positioning system for hospitals (10) also includes a sensor (20a) designed so as to sense the illumination from the illumination system (16a). Thus the positioning system for hospitals (10) is designed so as to identify the position of the sensor (20a), based on the mode in which the illumination is modulated. Additionally, the associated method for positioning an individual and an object, located inside or in the vicinity of the hospital (12), is also provided.
