To provide a topography generation support system and the like for displaying, in a form easier to use, a digital image showing the state of the site when topographic survey outdoors is formed into data and brought back to a working site to generate a topography by a computer-aided design means.
The topography generation support system is provided with a survey point coordinate setting means 9 for setting the survey point coordinate obtained by surveying the site, a topographic image digitalizing means 12 for recording the exterior appearance state of the survey site as a digital image, and a digital image, etc., display means 18 for displaying the digital image on the position of the survey point coordinate, and is so constituted, when generating a present topographic status map by the computer-aided design means 16 according to the survey point coordinate, as to generate the present topographic status map referring to the required digital image of the survey site. Thus, a map generating engineer can rapidly and correctly comprehend the status of the site and generate a map since each of the parts of the digital image and the present topographic status map corresponds to each other.
