The system for taking radiation images comprises a radiation generating device 102 for irradiating a subject with radiation, and the radiation image detector 5 for detecting the radiation image by the irradiation on the subject. The radiation generating device radio-transmits timing information on the timing of start and termination of the irradiation to the radiation image detector, and the radiation image detector reads the radiation image based on the timing information.
